Rachelle St. Onge is a retired teacher and artist from St. Albert who has recently been creating and marketing Chickadee Art. You might wonder why Chickadees? Truth is, years ago, while caring for her quadriplegic husband, she received much encouragement from this little visitor, this cheerful little bird, who seemed to be stopping by regularly to check up on her. She noticed how kind, hardworking, resilient, dependable and determined this little puff of nothing was. But the biggest life lesson was that if this little bird could survive our harsh winters, simply by fluffing up his feathers and forging ahead, there was nothing she herself couldn’t handle. Maybe one of her Chickadee paintings or figurines will inspire you or someone you know to be strong and remain positive!
